Motorcycle Insurance

Motorcycles are treated with the same considerations as standard autos in California.  Personal liability and property damage, or PL and PD, is required and has a minimum that must be secured for all motorcycles.  Helmets are required in the state of California as well as most states.  California also allows and promotes lane sharing, or what many drivers refer to as lane-splitting.  The reason California condones lane sharing is that it is a proven fact that allowing lane sharing actually helps protect motorcycle riders and other drivers because of bikes that tend to overheat, stall in lanes, and cause other issues creating obstacles in busy traffic as well as accidents.
